baja 2003 photos

Aug 30-Sept 1, 2003. Katie and I spend an awesome weekend of camping in La Bufadora, Baja with 20 other MKs (mostly). It was such a great time to get away from the city, out of the US, and into a place where us MK's could roam free for a change. A great time of sharing experiences, getting to know one another, singing together, fishing, spear fishing, hiking, canoeing, snorkeling, cooking, playing cards, and just hanging out. Thanks to Aaron and Torrey for planning the trip.

Day 1 of our adventure
Driving the roads of Baja, setting up camp, exploring in the canoe, eating mussels...

Day 2, first part
The next day some of us went on a hike along the coast, where we found a "pirate's cave"...
Day 2, second part
...then after lunch we went snorkeling, spear fishing (thanks to our camping neighbors who lent us their Hawaiian Sling), going into town in La Bufadora, and sitting around the camp fire again...

Thanks to the African MK's for teaching us our new favorite praise and worship song. =) You have to hear it to do it justice, but here are the words:

JESUS POWA   JESUS POWA
SUPA POWA   SUPA POWA
JESUS POWA   JESUS POWA
SUPA POWA   SUPA POWA
